Where would the world be without art?
One of the challenges today is that we don’t often feel we are part of a global community.
This is where art can make a difference. Art doesn’t tell us what to do or force an opinion on us. But, it does allow us to engage and interact with one another and ourselves. A beautiful piece of art, whether abstract, primitive, or highly detailed, helps connect us to our senses. It also makes our entire world feel something and these feelings can create emotions, thoughtfulness, and even help us to engage with one another.
Most of us know the feeling of being moved by a work of art, whether it is a song, a play, a novel, a sculpture or a painting. When we are touched, we are moved and transported to a new place.
These varieties of art forms, by which we are all surrounded, come together to create the atmosphere that we want to live in…a positive place. We can find art everywhere. And, whether we realize it or not, it is so important to our daily lives since it makes our lives joyful. Art also has no age limits. Infants, toddlers, young adults, middle age, and the elderly all benefit and react to it.
Works of art and sharing ideas can change society and instill values in us as we share our experiences in our own backyard and with those even across the globe.
Art has the power to change the world!
